Reset VV Test Identifier to "Reset to Default" issue

My company uses Test Status to keep track of types of objects in an executable module.

The items in the dropdown include:
PASS
FAIL
ANALYZED
DEFERRED
STARTED
Reset to Default (which clears Test Status)

Via DXL scripting, I can set Test Status using PASS, FAIL, ANALYZED, DEFERRED and STARTED.

The issue is that when I set

o."Test Status" = "Reset to Default"

the value in VV Test Identifier remains in the prior state.
Yet, if I manually change it, it clears.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to clear Test Status?

"Reset to Default" is not a value, its a selection displayed in that dialog. Erase the attribute:
-o."Test Status" = ""
It will then get it's default (or inherited value), which in this case there isn't one.
